Daryl Gurney once again carried his good form in Milton Keynes as he went onto reach the last 16 of PDC Players Championship 13. He seen off Ted Evetts in the opening round, then he went onto defeat fellow MDA stable-mates Harry Ward and Jamie Hughes before losing out 6-3 to Devon Petersen. Daryl definitely hit the heights in the summer series this week, a Semi-Final, Quarter Final and a last 16, steady enough.

Jamie Hughes and William Borland produced runs to the last 32. Hughes got a walkover against Luke Humphries as he pulled out, he averaged 96.7 in a 6-4 victory over Bradley Brooks and then his run was ended by ‘Superchin’ Daryl Gurney, losing 6-2. It hasn’t been a bad week for ‘Yozza’, securing his spot for the World Matchplay as well as producing some runs.

‘Big Willie’ had a big win over Rob Cross in round one, he defeated Maik Kuivenhoven before losing to Mickey Mansell 6-4. Borland is another player who has enjoyed runs in the summer series, and he will only get better.

Harry Ward and Karel Sedlacek reached the second round. ‘Big H’ defeated Andrew Gilding in a last leg decider, he was then defeated by our star Daryl Gurney in the next round. As for Karel, he had a impressive first round victory over Dimitri Van den Bergh, winning 6-4 and averaging 97.6 in the process. He was then denied in a last leg decider by Alan Tabern who won 6-5.
